There are so many photos I want to upload! But my Internet connection's a little funny (and not the ha-ha funny!) so I have to be absolutely ruthless in the selection process. :(
So, what's new? Everything seems to happen all at once! Friday (16th Nov) saw the moot competitions in Taylor's - about eight or nine teams of two participated, with only 2 teams from Year 2 (Faan Jin & Mei Chieng, Rachel & Cheryl).
I watched Cheryl and Rachel's competition at 11-1pm (after a strenuous, highlighting frenzy for an hour before the competition - they hadn't gotten their passages highlighted in their bundles of authorities yet!! So I came to the rescue, and recruited Leila and Petula to help as well! hehehe!), then they WON! --> so we went to celebrate at Baker's Cottage ... then returned to uni to watch Faan Jin and Mei Chieng's competition at from 3-5pm. And they won too! :D
I was - and still am - super super SUPER proud of my friends!! :] Rachel even got awarded Best Speaker, while FJ-MC team got selected for finals! And, finals are this Friday (23rd Nov) so I'll be going to support them again!
Only downside is that it's 3 to 5pm ........... AGAIN. :(
Doesn't matter, doesn't matter, I'll just bring a textbook to kill time. :/ Unlocking Land Law being my new favourite textbook, it's like a fixture with my handcarry folder now - only thing is, I've accidentally bent the plastic cover. :(
Feel rather sorrowful about that.
Felt almost as sad as when I accidentally bent the cover of my Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire paperback.
OKAY. Enough of broadcasting my geekiness! :] Picture time!! :D

Besides watching moots, assignments have been weighing me (and the rest of Taylor's Law School, I'm sure!) down. I also am not especially fond of tutorials - it kinda throws off my (and my friends agree, so it's really OUR -) studying systems. Instead of taking your time to study the topic as a whole and understanding it, because the tutorial schedules are so bloody tight, we end up spending our time just looking for answers to tutorial questions ... thereby sacrificing the time we could have spent studying the entire topic.
The workload in law school is maddening. Assignments and tutorials make it that much worse! So much so, that I couldn't go to Wai Kwan's birthday party last Saturday, and am also going to have to miss out on a Deepavali free-flowing-booze (not that I drink ;P) thing this weekend.
But fear not! December term break is just around the corner!! :D :D :D
xoxo
