Along those lines...
EVENT 1
I took part in my first demonstration!
Lol, kidding!
Turns out I was more cowardly than I originally thought, so Ai and I hid behind the side gate to watch the protest. :P As non-participating observers, eventhough we really wish the prison people would free Chin Huat like, right NOW! :(

The human contents of 14 police vehicles (2 police vans were STILL THERE when I was driving home at 2pm) gave the protesters 10 minutes to say whatever they wanted. Any more, and they threatened to arrest everyone.
One of my friends got arrested last night because she was at a (peaceful) candlelight vigil for Chin-Huat. So it's clear that getting arrested is like getting into car accidents - you think it would never happen to you, but it could! :( :( :(
*Edit (Update): Just cottoned on to Melody's Twitter. Apparently there were FORTY cops swarming Monash! Armed with machine guns! This was after I left the scene and was sitting safely in the air-conditioned comfort of my film studies tutorial. I don't think I ever want to get so near a protest ever again! :(*
EVENT 2
Speaking of car accidents, there was a massive one at the traffic light junction in PJ (not sure where exactly) and I only knew that ONE route to get home!! :( There was a HUGE-ASS cement mixer truck-thingy that had gone OVER THE CURB from the OTHER LANE and smashed into TWO normal-sized vehicles. It was HORRIBLE. And the entire road was blocked. There was shattered glass everywhere. The cars were very dented. I don't know if anyone was hurt but there were people standing *around* the accident.
To my horror, the police officer made all the cars turn left into some strange, unknown road.
PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIC PANIIIIIIICC!!!!!
I saw my life flash before my eyes.
I pulled over at the first lagoon in the road I could find, and called MUMMY. :(
Turns out I was just a turn away from the Kelana Jaya LRT station. Lol. :P
What! I COULD NOT SEE WHAT WAS WAITING FOR ME AFTER THE CORNER!
Anyway I didn't know how to get home without going all the way back to Monash, so I waited what felt like forever for mum to drive to me and I trailed her car (anxiously closely) to Giant.
Then we went shopping. :P I got 3 pairs of much-needed shoes - all my casual shoes spoiled! :( I was devastated - for RM15 each. :D :D :D
And then while I remained a nervous wreck (first the terrifying demonstration at school, then the terrifying accident scene, and then a terrifying WHERE THE HELL AM I? episode!), I managed to trail mum's car home.
HOME SWEET HOME. I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN.
I refuse to drive any-effing-where until Monday.
My nerves need time to recover!
