Today, I watched my journalism lecturer interview the deputy head of the engineering school. I watched unfamiliar words leave their lips and bounce off the too-white walls that were pingpong tables - on a Sunday morning, in a nearly empty campus.

Optical burst switching network. Optical circuit network. Optical packet switching. 1MB. 100MB. 1000MB. Waveband IP network. Grid computing.

Tell me how I'm going to write an 800-word story on this. Despite knowing absolutely nothing about the physics of engineering, I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't at least try.

It scares me that I have more work to do after exams than before exams. Now I'm going to design an advertiser's banner, transcribe the first part of today's interview, play GodFinger, and call it a day. There's just so much work to be done - scheduling, organising, YSK, journalism, advertisers, Nuffnang's Jipaban advertorial, e-mails to reply, things to research ... but tomorrow is tomorrow's problem.
