A deeper (cultural) examination of Facebook friend requests? Nah!

Another random hot Turkish guy's just added me on Facebook.

Apparently we have mutual friends, although my suspicions are that my friends have no idea who he is, either. Hahahaha.

But while I usually ignore "Friend Requests" from strange strangers... I also adore good-looking Middle Eastern dudes. HAHA. I don't know if this is Iranian influence rubbing off on me (due to the fact one of my best friends hails from the Land Once Known As Persia), but while 50-year-old DOMs (Dirty Old Men) compel me to hit the "Decline Friend Request" button faster than you can say "stop preying on young girls", I can't say that I hold gorgeous Turkish guys in the same regard.

Admittedly, I must be shallower than a children's wading pool. :/

Hahaha.

Anyway, a cardinal rule in Facebooking is never to reveal too much information about yourself - so it's all about making new friends and networking, yeah? :)

OH MY GOODNESS. Forget about Facebook for a minute! A few minutes ago, I just received the best news all week! Am bubbling with joyous laughter now:

Yay! Hurrah! Hallelujah!
Dance with me, happy bunnies! :D

After waiting for 10 weeks for my scholarship application to get processed, and hopefully hoping for a miracle, Monash has finally decided to let Daddy save some hard-earned money (after I blew away several thousand by quitting "Lost School"!).

Thank goodness I slaved my butt off in SAM. :) I wonder how many % reduction in fees I'm going to get! Something is better than nothing lah! :D

Now... to maintain the scholarship is a different story altogether. Hahaha. I'll have to find out more about that on Monday. :0)

A final note, before returning to the Minotaur-filled labyrinth that is my assignment, is that I am officially on a CD (Compulsory Diet)! Losing 15 kgs is no longer a distant fancy, but a necessity - why? I shall now present 2 reasons (besides the fact that it's the good and healthy way to be, hahaha):

Reason #1:

I LOVE funny T-shirts.
BUT funny T-shirts almost always come in tiny little sizes.
So to wear funny T-shirts that I love so much,
I have to become as tiny as my bones will allow!

Reason #2:
I also love Mr Happy. :)
Since girls have been slimming down for guys for decades, this is probably one bandwagon I should jump on - without making it topple over. :P
If you love me, you'll wish me good luck in my newfound missions in life!
1) Maintain the scholarship
2) Lose the extra pounds!
:)

Update (6.53pm): Just received my instructions for the MonGa piece. Wah, it sounds like a real challenge! Totally outside my comfort zone of human interest, family-oriented writing. Yeah, okay! Bring it on! Hahaha.
