It's happened.
Facebook users set up 2 major petitions that drew in nearly 2 million users...
but it was inevitable.
Cat-chanBeloved{} says:
Yes. The evil has overtaken facebook.
I couldn't have put it better myself.
24 glorious hours ago, this is what Facebook looked like:
And this is what it looks like now:

It's not like I'm being a Luddite - but seriously lah! The new layout is so ridiculously messy! The wall posts and profile updates are jumbled together, and all the applications are cramped on to the left navigation bar. And why have they devoted the entire right bar to advertisements? As if Facebook's creators/people who run it aren't already forking in a gazillion bucks every time someone logs in!
Whoever designed this layout and thought it was brilliant must have had a personal vendetta against the NAO (Neat And Orderly)!
ALSO -
the old Facebook layout used to allow users the freedom of adjusting what goes where in the page, but this new one is totally fixed in place!
ALAS ...
there is nothing a cyber-shrimp like me can do to overthrow this Facebook dictatorship.
:(
The unavoidable change has infuriated me so that it made me abandon my assignments for a short while to blog about this Facebook tragedy.
Let us have a moment of silence
for what was once the perfect networking system created.

On other news...
I should get a medal for resourcefulness. :D HAHA.
As fieldwork for honing my journalistic digging skills, I can now share with my handful of blog readers (bless all of you!! haha) some of what I've uncovered - by posting up pictures of 2 of my lecturers on my blog! :D
I know Eujean will probably want to steal them (go ahead LAH haha) anyway. Hahaha.
Behold ... Dr Julian Lee! :)

There was a whole saga of pictures of Dr Julian, LOL - I reckon whoever was holding the camera must've had the biggest crush on him or something! The 2 snapshots at the bottom were from the 2008 Semester 1 intake's transitional workshop. I wonder if Monash is going to let us have the pictures from our Semester 2 intake's workshop? Hmm.
Behold... Mr Benjamin McKay! :)

Will post up other interesting things after I finish the 3 assignments. :)
Have a good week, all! :D
