I am also happy to report, for the benefit of all shoppers out there who happen to be reading this - that, consistent with May Ching's recommendation, the 6th floor is the BEST! :D Clothes there are on the average priced at RM15-30, and you get to try them on! Levels 1 and 2 have several RM25-flat-rate clothing stores, but they also plaster those darn "NO TRYING" signs all over the place. >:(
Today was only my 2nd time visiting the wonderful, wonderful shopping complex - the first time was at the end of last month, but I didn't buy anything! - and this time, I was determined to try on everything I liked (even if I don't buy it, at least I know how this type of design looks on me! :D).
So, Shaz and I left no store unturned, and was there from around 12pm until past 7pm. Hahaha! Our aching feet and rumbling stomachs did get a lunch break (that's breakfast + lunch for me, because I totally overslept and had no time for breakfast, haha!) at 3pm - in Old Town White Coffee! :D

Anyway, today was SO FUN and SO TIRING! Hahaha!! Accumulatively, we must have tried on and/or scrutinised at least 50 pieces of clothing - but of course we didn't buy so many, haha, we have budgets! Our shopping bags were filled with 10 items at nightfall. :)

And even though I know you couldn't care less, because this is my blog - hehe!! - I am going to blog about what we bought! :D
Inside Shaza's Shopping Bags:

I think this cost RM25, but neither of us can really remember what it looks like, hahaha! (That's what happens when you look at too many clothes in one day) But it was from that corner store on Level 1 that is always INSANELY crowded because things are comparatively cheap (RM10-30) and you can try them on (except for white-coloured clothes. heh. store policy). It is a CRAZY place with a whole lot of queueing involved for everything - trying, paying, even getting to the racks to check out the clothes! 0.O
Whoever said nobody is spending money any more coz the world is in recession? Sungei Wang Plaza is still FILLED to the brim with shoppers! Haha! Hey - we are boosting the country's economy, OKAY! ;)

Super cute tunic Shaza got from one of those "RM25 for everything - No Trying" shops.
"No Trying" policies annoy the crap out of me. It's like they are afraid that if you try on the clothes, your chances of not buying it will increase - like they have no confidence in their clothes! There are less customers in the "No Trying" shops because of this unwelcoming policy. :/
I think she is wearing this unwashed top tonight already! Hahahaha. Oh, wow, I can't wait to wear my new clothes too! New clothes for Chinese New Year! :D

I can't believe it's taken me this long to realise that Shaza loves FLOWERS! :D Everything suddenly makes sense now - the rose hairclips, the flower-print tops, the constant gravitation towards blossoming outfits (equivalent to my gravitation towards yellow-coloured clothes)! Hahaha! Anyway, the prints are just SO PRETTY, aren't they? :)

I have no idea how this will look, can't wait to see her wearing it! :) Looks like a cool blouse.

Gorgeous white hoodie-cardigan for RM39.90! :) Too adorable, with vintage-inspired buttons.
Inside Sha-Lene's Shopping Bags:

Shaz, Mum and I all love this top muchos muchos! :D It's so colourful without looking tacky, and either side can be worn as back or front! In this picture I've accidentally worn the penguin at the front, I meant to wear it at my butt, haha! Anyway, it's also made of the exact same material and has the exact same cutting as my the Mosaic Top I bought at the Fleur de Lis bazaar, hehe - so cooling and stretchy... I always wanted a super colourful outfit! So happy this was my first purchase of the day~~~
I love this! :D It was at one of those "No Trying" shops that sold everything for under RM25, so I was rather worried I wouldn't fit into this, but luckily, it fits just nice! :) I like the black and white colours, it's so "simple 'N' schweet", and I don't have anything like this (until now). :D

THE PERFECT CARDIGAN FOR ME! :) Like, finally! It is the most unbelievably comfortable, soft, and cooling material ever - and most importantly, it fits me! I feel better-equipped for freezing-cold lecture theatres already. :D

Last but not least, of course we had to end our shopping spree with a visit to FACTORY OUTLET STORE (FOS)! :D After all, Sungei Wang Plaza even has TWO FOS outlets, haha! But there was a serious lack of variety and statement tees today (the most attractive one being "Make Out, Not War" but I've decided to stop buying shirts that are too short for me, lol) - so I guess the FOS outlets at The Curve, 1-Utama, and Sunway Pyramid are still the better ones. :) Or maybe the new stock (for 2009) just hasn't arrived yet!
However, I still managed to snag a knitted-ish long-sleever that I liked very much, for RM5 lesser than the average FOS price tag of RM30. :) :) :)

And now that I've hopefully gotten clothes-shopping out of my system and taken full advantage of year-end clearance sales, it's time to turn my head (and heart! haha) back to the glorious world of academia! <3
Have a Happy New Year! :)
Love,
Sha-Lene :)
PS: Jeremy Blachman (author of "The Anonymous Lawyer") replied my "fanmail"! OMG! Hahahaha! Now I'm so embarassed at all the crap I wrote, never expected him to actually read it! >.<

P.P.S: Happy Birthday to An Nie & Carmen! :)
