a sunday evening entry

How was your Halloween? :]

Hope it was fun -- that'll make the world a more balanced place, given the fact that my friends and I did absolutely nothing for it! Hahahaha!

I don't know if it's because Halloween isn't really as big a deal here as it is in Western countries, or that we just aren't generally inclined to dress up in costumes and walk out of the house. Hohoho. But I know they celebrate Halloween - like really celebrate! - in Reading, so come October 2008, I just might be the one of the Three Little Pigs. :D :D :D

Anyway, I can hardly believe it's November already! It seems like it was just yesterday that SAM had ended and I was about to start first year uni. :] And now, I'm already one-seventh into second year. Time passes too quickly!

On other news, word on the corridors (I'll say corridors as opposed to street, because, well, I don't actually spend much time on the street hahaha) is all about the November 10th rally. :] Maybe some of you have heard about it - it's organised by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections.

A couple of my classmates are going for the rally - exciting, huh? I can't go, my mum won't let me. Hehehe. The police keeps saying that it's an illegal gathering, etc etc ... so, do be careful, for those of you who are going!

So, I did the next best thing and bought the shirt. :D

Go to www.bersih.org if you want to know more about the rally.

Right-o. I have virtually nothing else to talk about. I got to have lunch with An (at last!) on Thursday, so that was really really fun. :]

And the Deepavali break is coming up - wahooo! Although I still insist it unfair that they ripped off the Autumn term Reading Week from our academic calender just because there were two mini-public holidays already. >:(

The policy ought to be simple: If you don't want to give us more holidays, then don't give us so much work to do.

Of course, there's the three-week term break in December. Any hope of retaining sanity is vested in that! Hahahah!

Aaaaand ... my uncle's getting married in a few days! :D Super excited for the wedding and everything. We get to drive (up or down? my geoggers reeks) to Ipoh for the bride's version then on Sunday they're having the wedding dinner at a hotel in KL. :]

Ok-lah, have a good week everyone! :]
