Nyahahahahaa.
Thanks to one of my favourite Artsian-Monashians, Anis
(click: http://anisdatt.livejournal.com/ - yes babe, I will link you! Hehe!) ...
I got a pleasant surprise in the latest issue of MonGa (Monash Gazette)!
She handed me a copy because she took extra. :D
Nyahahahahhaha.
2 glorious pages penned by yours truly! Yay!
Although I didn't take the pictures, the Editor did. :]
But I'm still gonna count it as 2 pages. Haha.
And although my by-line here is the perfect example of how the word "Sha-Lene" can be wronged in so many ways ......... like when the "S" and "L" are not Capitalised (*sniffs*) ........
I still am so proud to have my name in print in the magazine! :D
And if you look closely enough (who will, other than me, hahahaa), half of my mooncake face is also in one of the photos. But because it's such a crappy picture, I refuse to highlight it. I just hope no-one recognises me! :(
OOOOOH and the icing on top of the cake ------
My name is there as well, under "Contributors"! :)
And guess what! It's spelled perfectly! Hahahaha!
Pung Sha-Lene.
All the correct capitalisation and punctuation!
*Applause*
:)
The only cloud in this silver lining is that after spending 10 weeks learning a subject called Feature Writing, I can now see all the torrid mistakes that I did before learning all the proper "journalistic" writing techniques. LOL! At least I now see where I can improve.
It would be a cool comparison to compare my writing before taking the unit, to after I complete the unit! If only MonGa will let me write another piece for them! Haha! :)
But now that SMILE has won the majority of seats in student government, the Editorial Board is also pretty much completely revamped! All I know about the new editors are from the election pamphlet, and I am 100% sure they have no idea who I am.
Haha. Aiya. Let fate take its path!

OH and Mr Benjamin McKay (soon to be Dr McKay, since he's completing his PhD!!) granted a general extension to everyone for FTV1010 (Contemporary Television Studies). Deadline is now moved from 19th September --> 22nd September (Monday).
Thank goodness!!
Now I have more time to concentrate on my INT1020 (Contemporary Worlds 2) major essay. Which is still due this Thursday.
On a final note - the more I think about it, the more I am looking forward to the podcasting workshop on the 29th and 30th of this month! :D
