I have, however, been productive! :D
I found and typed in the full names to the acronyms of ARROW's related INGOs (International Non-Government Organisations) across 7 spreadsheets + started on filling in information about the embassies of funding nations (namely: Australia, Canada, Danish, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, and USA)...
I've finished that part on Fiji's spreadsheet... and was halfway through India's spreadsheet for that section, when I decided to take a break ... and Shaza's Facebook status proudly proclaimed:
"Shaza Rashid DeSouza thinks every girl needs to go to http://eclecticeccentricity.bigcartel.com/."
So I thought, okay, I'll check it out, see what the fuss is about!
Little did I know that I'd go and fall in love with a necklace that I know I'll never have!! :'( I can still post up pictures of it here, though, and immortalise it on this blog forever! Hahaha.

It's called the "International Love Pendant", featuring "I Love You" phrases in several different languages - engraved on a brass heart pendant, crafted from 1950’s tooling. To make matters worse, it's "hung from a vintage diamond cut brass chain" alongside a "vintage copper-toned butterfly charm and a glass pearl bead". It's the most beautiful

The price: 13.75 pounds sterling.
:( :( :( :( :(
To the Brits, it's probably kacang putih - just like how we'd treat RM14 here, can totally buy the necklace! But when we sodding convert it to Malaysian ringgit... 1 pound is RM5.59:
According to http://coinmill.com/GBP_MYR.html#GBP=1, 13.75 pounds is equivalent to RM76.84. That's way too much for anything that's just for fun...
Why, oh why, does something that's so cheap to someone in a different country, have to be so expensive to someone in this one? :(
When will the day arrive that Malaysian ringgit is so wonderfully big, us cheapskate Malaysians can buy anything we want without scorching holes in our pockets?
Yeaahh... I know that's kind of bad for the economy also, in terms of the competitiveness of our exported products......
But we can *buy* things. Oh, purchasing power, why art thou elude me!
Hehehe.
This reminds me of the nearly physical pain I felt when I had to walk away from the "Stop Global Warming" blouse at the Absolute Bazaar on Saturday. :( It was RM-freaking-48! And the best price they could offer me was RM40 ... still too much for a shirt of that lousy quality. The lady said it was so expensive because they got it from Thailand. Pffft. It should've been "we're going to charge you so much EVENTHOUGH it's from Thailand".
But even the forty ringgit I saved there isn't enough to buy half of the International Love Pendant. :( But do you think, if I worked and earned my own money (like by being Chin Huat's research assistant, although that's an increasingly dim possibility because I haven't heard at all about it for weeks), I could buy it? Let's say I need RM80 for the necklace (think postage)... the job pays RM10 an hour... 8 hours of coding media reports, and the necklace is mine!
Yeah. Like I'd ever spend hard-earned money so simply, equalling 8 hours of slaving over old newspapers into a necklace. I don't think my mum would ever hear of it. :/ And if I actually followed my impulse and did it, I don't think I'd ever hear the end of it!
Bah. Oh well. I can go to sleep now and dream that the necklace is mine! HAH. :D
Although I'd have to duly note that I'd be the most pathetic person ever, getting a birthday present... for myself! Ha...ha...ha.... Alternatively, I could find some other material and fashion it into an identical pendant. Hmm...
Nite. :)

Anyways, let me know what you think. Is training via the internet something you would do?
