Shern Ren coins such wonderfully inspiring statements, it's high time I use his quote (with permission! XD) as a blog title.
Sometimes it feels like it's been 3 months since my last exam ended, and other times, it feels like the paper was just over yesterday. The fact, of course, is that it ended on Tuesday - about 5 days ago.
Before the holidays whiz by without my realising it, I'm calling for a quick reality check (and an embarassingly public one, so I can't lie to myself) on what I've been doing with my time! ;P
How I love the Internet for letting me have my own personal space, which I care for and treasure like a baby! :) Also one of the reasons I was adamant on doing my international studies exam essay on "Globalisation has more *positive* effects than negative ones" instead of vice versa, which was the easier position to take in more ways than one.
Holiday Reality Check #1:
I've celebrated The Survival of Final Exams, hung out with some good friends, learnt how to take the LRT alone, learnt the walking route to Jalan Scott from KL Central, started my internship with Arrow (people keep asking me what Arrow is - it's the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women, an NGO advocating women's health and rights - see http://www.arrow.org.my for more information), and have *finally* finished sorting and packing up my things from my first semester at Monash University's lovely School of A.S.S.!
I stayed up until 3am early this morning blowing dust bunnies off papers, rereading my favourite assignments, digging up old spare 3-inch ring folders and punching holes - throwing away whatever I don't need, and keeping everything else! :D
Now, I'm ready to move on. :)
I've unearthed my 6-month old Korean Air Filofax to use at Arrow and for school. Haha. So funny (and typical) how I used it so religiously for the first 2 months this semester and then put it in the cupboard one day and just forgot about it. Hahahaha.
Well, now it's back! Because I kind of got verbally elbowed on my first day as an intern for not bringing a notebook. :'( So now I'm going to bring the most professional-looking one I have! Hahaha. And goodness knows I have a devastatingly wonderful bag to put it in! :D :D

You may be wondering why in the world there is a purple monkey on my bag.
Hahahahaha. I wanted to put a personalised spin on it! ;P
So, meet my new friend:
After I robbed mum's Kipling bag of its purple monkey, I found another grey monkey (we have too many monkeys, I know. hahaha) and decided to put it to "creative" use - casting it as the lead character in 3 Dior Spoof Ads:

And shots of my 2 most favourite accessories (for now ;D):

Well, today is a good day to start! (Pity the day is already ending, thanks to my waking up at 2pm -_-" How on earth did I sleep past 2 clock alarms and 6 alarms on my cellphone..........).
And now, I've got to get cracking on my work as a new intern! I just love using that word so much. Interninterninterninternintern. INTERN.
There. I think I've got it out of my system. Did I mention that this is my first internship... ever?
My task: I have to go and search online for contact and detail information to fill up a marketing database. Because ARROW has 13 priority countries, May Yen and I divided them between ourselves - she has 7 and I have 6 (because one of my countries, India, apparently has the workload of 2 countries, so it's all fair! :D).
As for tomorrow (Monday), I'm heading to uni for a meeting in the J-lab (a "cool" name to call the Journalism Lab, haha) and then for lunch with Kimberly and Apphia (a girl I met at that Spiritual Reading session I crashed a few weeks ago, whom I remember for her very unique name).
Goodness gracious. I can't seem to stay away from Monash for even a week, even though I'm on "holiday"! :S Hahaha. It's such a lovely campus, though. It's comfy. :)
And just think, I hated my previous uni so much that I would feel sick just thinking of going back there every Monday. Cannot even begin to compare! Haha. Speaking of Taylor's
Intern. ;P
