After submitting two psychology assessments due 19th December (Friday), I had BOSA (Blow Off Steam Activities) planned out nicely already - join Tharshini & May Yen for "ice-skating" on Friday after classes, then block out Saturday for Fleur de Lis @ Jalan Maarof, Bangsar with Shaza! :D
But things never always happen as you plan, and because this is my blog, allow me to bore you to tears with the run-down of what actually happened:
FRIDAY
Sunway Pyramid
Tharshini, May Yen and I all bundled into my trusty little Myvi and headed for Pyramid by about 5 p.m. - but when we got there, there was NO FREAKING PARKING! It was pretty frustrating to keep going round and round and wasting time and petrol and getting honked by other, equally frustrated (or unequivocally rude!) drivers if I lingered 2 nanoseconds too long at one spot.
I WILL NOT DRIVE TO PYRAMID AGAIN ON A FRIDAY AFTER PRAYERS.
After about 40 wasted minutes, I finally found a parking spot in the open-carpark corner (to make matters worse, it was raining!) and pulled in. So hungry and tired already by then.
But we were supposed to go ice-skating remember? Hahah it was meant to be a cool new (albeit life-threatening) experience, but:
1) Instead of costing RM17 per person, it is now RM21 if you have your own gloves - RM29 if you don't have your own gloves.
2) I forgot to bring my own gloves.
3) Rink was SO crowded.
4) I saw with my own horrified eyes as people crashed into the walls and/or fell on the ice. It did not look pleasant.
Yeahhh... so you can probably guess by now that we didn't go ice-skating in the end. Haha. Instead, we had dinner at Deli France! :D :D :D
I know some people make fun of people (like me) who take photos of FOOD, but, really ... it's an art-lah. Food is so beautiful, so perfect... that if you don't capture it on film, you may just forget about it...
Thus - May Yen's appetizer looked too delicious not to take a photo to share with you:

And what we had for dinner - May Yen and I shared a Fish & Wedges between us, Tharshini had Something Else & Wedges (this is what happens when I don't take photos... I forget! Haha!):
After dinner, we were planning to have a second go at ice-skating if the rink had cleared up a bit, but we got distracted...
By what, you may ask?
All the "SALES SALES SALES!" signs all around! Hahaha! We shopped until about 9pm. Whoa!
At this point in time, I was under the impression that I was still under the 1-clothing-purchase-per-month rule, but I wasn't aware that the rule was flexible! I only window-shopped throughout the night while my pals bought stuff, but then when we got to NICHII, I tried on the most gorgeous dress I've ever seen and tried on before...
AND it was 40% off the original price of RM69.90! Something I loved so much, something that looked so bloody great, something that was going for a steal of RM42 for a quality coat-like-material dress? How could I walk away from such a bargain? After some very mature persuasion on my part, wonderful, wonderful Mummy gave the go-ahead to buy the dress! :D

Heaven on earth. <3
SATURDAY
SS2, BANGSAR, BANDAR UTAMA
Before I had recovered from the shopping high of purchasing my very first Little Black Dress (how can something that can fit a UK 14 be called "little", right? Hehee!), my parents brought me to the massive shoe warehouse clearance sale in SS2. I think it's still on tomorrow, if anyone reading this wants to check it out. It started yesterday.
I didn't like how stuffy and hot the place was, and how I felt like sneezing the entire time, but for the sake of price-slashed bargains, and because the soles of my shoes are peeling off like sunburnt Caucasian skin, I needed new "sports" shoes.
Fun fact: "Sports". Hah. I'm not a great fan of sports. They are violent and I tend to get injured. Hahah. Watching them is ok but when actual participation is required, I would rather not be present. Sports shoes will hereinafter be refered to as "exercise shoes" on this blog.
Anyway, at 12pm, Shaza picked me up for yet another "warehouse clearance sale" of sorts! :D The Fleur de Lis in Bangsar, where over 30 online stores gather each day for 3 days (19th-21st Dec 2008) and sell off their stock to shopping-addicted young ladies! Whee~~

ANYWAY! As it turns out, the Fleur de Lis (kind of like an expanded, extended Absolute Bazaar) was located in an empty bungalow. So... no proper parking! When Shaz and I got there, which was at about 12.30pm, there was already a long, long, looonnnggg line of cars parked on both sides of the street already. So we parked at the end of the lonnng line and walked... uphill. :'/
Hahaha. But the bazaar itself was pretty cool! We were given some free gifts upon arrival, and the all-important MAP! :D
Shaz and I said hi to Hooi Yin Yin (haha I just like saying her full name), our classmate & owner of Closetz Galore (http://closetzgalore.blogspot.com/) and then after I debated over whether or not to try an insanely colourful single-button cardigan which I adored from Superrolling (http://superrolling.blogspot.com/) - I did not pursue this, Shaza did not encourage (haha!) and I reckon I saw similar tops in Sg Wang Plaza - we went and made our 1st purchases of the day, at none other than ... *drumrolls* ...
THE AURA! :D Click: http://theauragems.blogspot.com/!
I got a very basic and simple charm bracelet for RM14, and now I can go and collect other charms and add them on by myself! OH and the owner, Jessica, remembered me through my name! Omg! Hahaha! I take this as a sign that I have been e-mailing random strangers a wee bit too zealously. Hahahahh.

And Shaz finally got the charm bracelet she's been itching to get since Absolute Bazaar! :D Well, I guess this means my plan to secretly make her a charm bracelet as a gift for her birthday next year can be chucked out the window, since she's already got such a pro one from The Aura people! Haha. See picture!

I was allowed to buy clothes today, so... I did! HAhaha! But I controlled OK! I bought 2 pieces of clothing "only", hehe! Some things are irresistible (to me, at least):
(1) Second purchase of the day was a Sunny Dress-Top from Doublewoot (http://double-woot.blogspot.com/), who came all the way from Penang for this bazaar! :D They had a whole palette of colours, but naturally, I asked to have a closer look at the yellow one (well, actually, I semi-shrieked and pointed excitedly, gabbling to Shaz - who may or may not have been listening - until the storeowner fished it down for me) - and because Shaza wanted to buy 2 other dress-tops (the same design, but in orange and brown), we managed to bargain down the price from RM20 each to RM16 each! :D
(2) My third and final purchase from the Fleur de Lis was from Hooi Yin Yin's shop! :D It was quite a stroke of fate, actually, because we were actually hanging out there chit-chatting with her, and I was going through the rack of clothes and spotted a wonderfully weird long top (could be a dress, I'm not sure)! I noticed it also because I had just seen the exact same top in another site (http://rainbowmallows.blogspot.com/2008/12/modern-world.html) last night! But I could've sworn it would be too small for me... but anyway, surprisingly ... HEhehe! After I tried it on, I liked it - no, I LOVED it so much! So it was selling for RM47... but I bought it for RM41. :D Friends-mah. Hehehe!! Thanks, HOOI YIN YIN!
After so much bargain-hunting (although the clothes and accessories aren't dirt-cheap, mostly RM30-50 ... if you wanted to buy really cheap clothes at bazaars like these, you'd have to head to pre-loved bins/buckets/tables only) - and I totally forgot to check out the Trade Corner! :/ - Shaz and I were famished.
So we hopped into the car happily swinging our purchases around and headed to Bangsar Shopping Centre! MY FIRST TIME THERE! :D :D :D
... Anyway, I don't think I really want to go back there again. The place was kinda nothing-much, and everything was so much more expensive than other shopping centres (except maybe KLCC). And we only found 2 places to eat - either Chilli's or Dome.
Dome had no air-conditioning.
So Chilli's was the clear winner! Haha!
Shaza had Chicken Monterey:
And I had... surprise, surprise, a too-well-done beef bacon burger. Yumm~ But so expensive. A li'l bit cheaper than Shaz's meal but still... it's like TGIF's. Haha. Oh, well! ;) It was delicious.
And then, we started strolling around BSC, but then after checking out some of the prices of hair-clips Shaza was looking for, we made the impulse decision to go to The Curve! HAHAH!
We are genuine mall-hoppers. I know, I know.
But The Curve was really cool, flea markets galore! And stuff here was REALLY much cheaper! A good example - those T-shirts that we see everywhere, those "Little Miss Sunshine", "Little Miss etc etc" shirts, and the latest "I Like Mr Tall" & similar series, selling for RM18! I've really never seen them going for so cheap before! Even online shops are selling them for RM25-35.
Here, I bought Shaza a Christmas present! :) Instead of paying for parking tickets at BSC because I ran out of change. Hehe! This is sweeter and far more memorable than "What did she get you for X'mas?" "Oh, she paid for my parking.."

Ooh and Shaz and I went to the World Vision booth in BSC, and my summer pet project, a non-profit online store called "The Shopping Whisperer", has officially made its donation! :D I opted for the money to fund "Education" - do visit http://theshoppingwhisperer.blogspot.com if you would like to read the message I posted up about this! :)
Ok. Longest post in a while is officially over. Bedtime! Haha! Goodnight, and have a good Sunday and week! :)
