Anyways! Valentine's Day 2009 is officially over, and my Valentine's hangover from a full and bittersweet glass of red wine is non-existent. But yesterday was, to sum it up in one word -
FUN!!!!!
I don't remember having done anything special on any Valentine's Day in my entire life, but this year I had 2 guaranteed-to-be-fun plans - going to Jalan Telawi (my first time there!) for shopping in the daytime, and then
First up, a shopaholic's featured haul from Jalan Telawi:

Eventhough the boutiques my friend and I bought stuff from were on sale, I've come to the conclusion that Bangsar is a very expensive place. :( I shall not shop there anymore - yesterday will have been my first and last shopping trip to Jalan Telawi! ;)
And in that short but sweet trip, I bought a pair of black-and-white sequined mini pumps and a long, colourful beaded necklace from "Elo"; a brown satin-chiffon dress and a sleeveless, pink-coloured, empire-cut rayon top from "Little Black Book"; a colourful floral cotton kimono, a yellow patent leather belt and a black/glittery silver weaved belt from "Cats Whiskers". Everything I got was on Clearance or at least 30%-70% discount, but I still think it was so much more expensive than Sungei Wang Plaza. :( And the stuff there that isn't on sale is ridiculously overpriced! Yet there were many, many, many customers buying stuff in Jalan Telawi. And there were seriously a LOT of boutiques there. Wow!
But after yesterday, I know for sure that I don't belong in those Bangsar boutiques (unless Cats Whiskers hires me next summer and gives me staff discounts, hahaha!). Jalan Telawi has too many beautiful temptations that are way too expensive for the middle-class geek. I'm an FOS/Sg Wang/Curve Flea Market/TESCO sorta girl. :)
Nevertheless, this outsider managed to snag home some gorgeous goodies before her mum gave her an indefinite ban from clothes-shopping. :'(
Pictures below include a yellow cotton dress and a satine black-and-white dress from Ruffey ID in 1-Utama (presents from Mummy, so it's not counted as my purchases! :D Ruffey ID's having a great promotion btw - buy the 2nd item for RM1), a white weaved belt from The Curve's flea market that I bought aeons ago but never got an outfit to wear it with (and now I do - the yellow dress!), three-quarter denim leggings from Clothes Cottage's closing-down clearance sales, and a star-studded tube top from Our Mutual Passion. :)

And secondly, Mabel's birthday party at her uncle's brand-spanking-new house in SS2! :D It felt like a class reunion, ahahhaha. But her whole family was there too, so it felt like a housewarming party too! All of us had a TONNE of fun! I even found an awesome new friend in Mabel's cousin, Yoke Lin - hehehehhe and we took LOADS of CRAZY pictures all night long - but I didn't bring my camera (*gasp!*) so all the pictures are with Mabel. :D
I can only hope that I didn't do anything too stupid last night that was caught on camera, LOL! (That's Laugh Out Loud, btw, not Live and Laugh like someone thought -_-"). Anyway Mabel will be uploading all the pictures on Facebook. I shall just have to keep my fingers crossed!
A night with flowing wine + panda-abusing + skit-acting + jaw-numbing laughter + funny new friends + old old friends = EMBARASSING PHOTOGRAPHS.
But no matter how awful the photos can potentially turn out to be, I still had a lot of fun!

Thanks for inviting me, Mabel!! :)
Okay I had my cellphone with me, so I managed to take a few pictures & a few videos. Haha!
And here is the BIGGEST birthday cake I have EVER seen!! XD
Okay, gotta go catch my American Idol rerun now. :D
Been so preoccupied that I missed AI. Omg right! Haha!
Going to the telly now, Danny Gokey!! <3>
*EDIT: DANNY GOKEY HAS MADE IT TO THE NEXT ROUND! :D TOP 36!
Pity his best friend didn't make it through, though. :( Aww.
