"There are only encounters in history. There are no accidents." -Elie Wiesel

Gee wheez!

24th March 2009, approximately 0850 hours.
My first car accident.

Poor little Myvi's back bumper got banged out, and the top panel got banged in. :( By a Kelisa. It's the war of local cars I tell ya. But thankfully, no-one was hurt. And it wasn't my fault at all (*phew!*), the dude from Sunway College who was daydreaming while driving his friend's car admitted that it was all his fault.

I also felt kinda sorry for the guy, he was really really panicking - and begging me not to make a police report. Aih. So I didn't. He already nearly had a cardiac arrest when I asked him to write down his name, contact number, IC number, car number plate & car make (the last two of which he didn't, because it wasn't his car - which made him panic even more, despite my reassurances that I wasn't going to call the cops on him - so I had to write it down myself).

But I missed my entire International Studies lecture today, but at least I got to watch the whole Decolonisation & Independence screening.

Also totally mis-evaluated the damage to little Myvi. In the pouring rain (yes, it was raining somemore!), I saw only the four-inch dent in the middle of the top panel (below the boot).

Did not see:
- The right bumper that was totally sticking out, looking like it could fall off my car at any moment
- The crashed censor

I didn't notice any of the big(ger) damages until Shaz and Nana came to my car with me to sampat after class. Hahaha.

What I *should* have done:
- Called the nearest adult (like, proper adult) I knew to come help evaluate the damage! Or at least call one of my friends! After all, we pulled over right in front of Monash. Ish.

I guess... put in the middle of the situation, it's quite hard to think straight. I wasn't even sure if my car was hit at all, whether I imagined the sudden Thud! from sheer lack of sleep or what.

The damage (because my car is now at the bengkel) : RM320.
Compensation from Daydreamer : RM100.

Oh well. That's RM220 gone for something I didn't do wrong.

On the bright side - I'm lucky to be alive! :D
Ok. Gotta do my INT assignment now.
